In the name of Allah the most gracious, the most merciful

The original meaning of 'Khanquah' is 'Prayer House', (Khanquah means convent, monastery or shrine), where repeated invocation of Allah (SWT) 's name and glorification of Allah (SWT), (tells ones beads), is done regularly / continuously. Here, everyone is wholly (entirely) attentive and turning towards Allah (SWT) in performing meditations. In this prayer house, people sleep for a very short time in the night and wakes up very early in the pre dawn to seek forgiveness from The Almighty Allah (SWT), and here a systematic training is given to built such attributes, qualities, excellence and epithet.

As per the meaning and objective (purpose / intent) of Khanquah, its existence is from the beginning of the day when The father of the human being Hazrath Saydana Adam Alaihissalam choose and reserved some spaces on the earth, specifically for the worship of Allah (SWT). In this special place, he used to repeatedly invocate the name of Allah (SWT), and glorify Him. He also used to tell his beads in this place.

In the era of our Holy Prophet (PBUH), there used to be a place reserved / assigned for the recitors and worshipers. This place used to be called as 'Suffa'. Hazrath Shaikh Ali Hajweri (RH), wrote in the 'Kashful-Mehjub', the whole Muslim world is in agreement, on the fact that the special companions of The Holy Prophet (PBUH), were from the 'suffa'. These companions of The Holy Prophet (PBUH)  always resided in the mosque (under a shelter in a specific place in the mosque called Suffa).

These companions of The Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to be always in the worship of Allah (SWT). They had completely isolated themselves from the temptations of this world and had shun themselves from all the activities of this world. Hence you will notice the fact that in the history of each era / century, special religious nobles had always reserved and assigned certain place for the undisturbed worship and devotion to Allah (SWT). In The Holy Quran also, there is a order of complete repentance (penitence) towards Allah (SWT).

(Juz 29, Sura 73, Ayat 8)

" But keep in remembrance The name of thy Lord, And devote thyself To Him whole-heartedly"

In the Sura Noor of The Holy Quran, there is a mention of a word 'Buyoot'. Abu Hayyan in his Quranic commentary 'Behre Muheet', explained that 'Buyoot' is a common word and just like the mosque and islamic schools, Khanquahs are also included under this and, we should respect and honour them too.

Additionally, in the 'Sura Haj' of the holy Quran, words like

and are mentioned. The meaning of these words are explained as the centers for spiritual development, and the Khanquah of Durwesh (mendicant, saints ). Hence it is obvious and clear, that the existence of Khanquah has been refereed both in The Holy Quran and the Islamic history.

For the same reasons and objectives, our Shaikh and Hazrath Wala Murshadana-w-Maulana Asraar-ul-Haq Khan Saheb (RH) and his followers (Murids) have built centers in several places. These centers are known as 'Khanquah Asrariya'. These centers are built for the objective of the worship of the Allah (SWT) and devotion to Him, for seeking the love and closeness of Allah (SWT), and for the undisturbed meditation. These centers are also focused on providing training and development to acquire such attributes, qualities and excellence in spirituality.

In these centers, people shun themselves from the activities and temptations of this world, and put efforts and do mystic exercise as per the directions and instructions of their Murshid. The expert (master) of spiritual education and development, Alhaj Hazrath Ahsan-ul-Haq Khan Saheb Made-Zillahu take care of these seekers of the love of Allah (SWT), from all angles and ensure the proper spiritual education and their development.
